About the Event
In the cosy Cardamom & Dill container at Spark:York, I will be cooking up a warming Middle Eastern Feast of food that I grew up with. As we brush off the winter blues and move into spring, let me take you out of York an on to the family tables of the Middle East.
Mezze - batata harra (spicy potatoes), bittenjan bi’ romman (aubergines in pomegranate molasses), mixed pickles, home made hummus, salad chunks, khubz
Loubia bi’ zeit - green beans braised in olive oil and tomatoes. Served with rice and home made shatta
Atayif - Middle Eastern pancake stuffed with spiced nuts and doused in simple syrup. Served with tahini cream.
